Is there really a Warsaw Creek? If so, then where?
Warsaw Creek is indeed a real place. The creek runs through the community of Warsaw Texas, and directly behind the house I grew up in. It makes its way between several soil conservation lakes, and empties into the Trinity River.
Growing up there, I seem to recall Warsaw Creek being about 100 billion acres of woods that very few humans had ever stepped foot on. It seemed to run somewhere between Walden Pond and Mr. Milne’s Hundred Acre Wood. I can’t explain how that many acres could exist in such close proximity to houses and farm land, but somehow it must have because that’s the way I remember it.
